Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

How has your experience been studying in London?

Embarking on my academic journey at the University of Westminster has been a truly unique and exhilarating experience. The University provided a platform to connect with and learn from industry pioneers through engaging lectures, offering insider insights, and broadening my horizons. This immersive experience provided a glimpse into real-world dynamics while preserving the authenticity of my education's creative and experimental aspects.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

As an Interior Architecture MA student, my experience at the University of Westminster was enriched by engaging in model-making workshops and city walks led by our course leader. These activities provided valuable hands-on experience and fostered a sense of community within our diverse group. These interactive sessions allowed me to learn from peers with varied cultural backgrounds, share experiences, and form meaningful connections with others in the same professional field.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

I extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire panel of lecturers at the University of Westminster for imparting their extensive industrial knowledge most insightfully. I want to seize this opportunity to personally commend my course leader, who served as the heart and soul of our academic journey.

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?

One of the standout features that genuinely elevates the University of Westminster's offerings is the Fabrication Lab. It is a major highlight and an invaluable asset for students invested in the course. The FabLab boasts a comprehensive array of resources catering to every creative inclination, including 3D printers, a laser lab, a photo lab, and a complete woodworking and metalworking equipment set. This exceptional facility gives students the tools to turn their creative visions into tangible realities.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

I actively participated in the Indian National Student Association Society, a platform that facilitates connections with individuals from diverse courses who share a common nationality. This experience allowed me to forge meaningful connections with fellow students from India, fostering community and camaraderie within the university.

I was genuinely impressed by the active participation of students in initiatives that contribute to improving the communities around them. The responsiveness to student queries and the swift implementation of changes were particularly noteworthy. Sanitary pads and tampon stations near every washroom reflect the university's commitment to addressing essential needs. Additionally, there is a commendable emphasis on raising awareness about mental health, providing students with a platform to speak up on various issues they may encounter. This supportive environment fosters community and well-being at the University.
