What made you consider studying a Foundation Course at the University Westminster?
I decided to do this year because I had been away from education for some time, so I wanted to rebuild my confidence and prepare myself before starting a full degree. I chose Westminster after reading their course summery, it sounded like the best fit for me personally.
Were you looking to achieve anything in particular by studying a Foundation Course? And did you achieve this by completing your Foundation Course?
My main reason was to ease myself into education again and get into the flow of things, so foundation year was really helpful for that. I was able to explore other creative courses too, which made me even more sure about choosing my degree.
How has studying a Foundation course prepared you for studying your degree at Westminster?
I learned how to complete coursework, reflect on my work, write academic texts, improved my analytical skills. And in general, it helped with creativity, I felt inspired and ready for my degree by the end of the year.
Can you tell us about your favourite experience or highlight whilst studying your Foundation Course?
Being around other creative people and setting up the end of year exhibition was the highlight. It gave me confidence in my creative abilities.
Would you recommend studying a Foundation Course at Westminster and why?
Yes, I would recommend this course, Harrow campus itself is great with many facilities. But the highlight was definitely the tutors, they were knowledgeable, inspiring and motivating.
