Real Estate Development MSc – 2026

Being a Westminster student means being part of a global network of ambitious individuals.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

The University of Westminster stood out to me not just for its strong academic reputation in real estate but for its prime location in the heart of London—a city where real estate isn’t just an industry but a dynamic playground for visionaries. I knew that studying here would put me at the centre of networking opportunities, high-profile events, and cutting-edge market developments. The chance to learn from industry experts, engage with ambitious professionals, and build relationships that could shape my future career made Westminster the perfect choice.

How has your experience been studying in London?

London is electrifying. It’s a city where something is always happening, whether it's an exclusive networking event, a high-profile property launch, or a social gathering at one of the most stylish venues. My experience here has been a blend of academic rigour and real-world exposure, allowing me to meet industry leaders while also enjoying the city's vibrant social and cultural scene. Being surrounded by the energy of London fuels my ambition every day.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

What makes this course truly exceptional is how immersive and practical it is. From guest lectures by top industry professionals to site visits and real-world case studies, every aspect is designed to prepare us for the reality of the market. The best part? The people. The students, professors, and industry guests are all incredibly driven, making every discussion, group project, and networking event a chance to exchange valuable insights and ideas.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

The academic support has been outstanding. Whether it’s guidance from professors, insightful career advice, or access to industry-standard tools and databases, Westminster ensures that we have everything we need to succeed. The university also hosts networking sessions and career workshops that not only help us academically but also push us to think strategically about our future careers.

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?

Absolutely. The library is not just a study space—it’s an experience. Designed to be both inspiring and functional, it’s where I spend hours researching, brainstorming, and engaging with other students. The gym is the perfect escape to recharge and stay active, balancing both mind and body. The stylish lobby, with its vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere, has become my go-to spot for networking, casual meetings, or simply unwinding between classes.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

During my time at the University of Westminster, I had the incredible opportunity to take part in a field trip to Rotterdam at the end of the final semester. The project involved developing a proposal for the reconstruction of the Excelsior Football Stadium. We worked directly with the investor and the club's director, who gave us valuable insights into their vision and the key elements they wanted us to focus on. It was an intense but exciting challenge: we had just four days to develop a full concept and present it on the fifth day.

Students from France, Germany, Rotterdam, and our group of 17 from Westminster were mixed into international teams of four, which gave us a great chance to network, collaborate, and exchange ideas. Outside of the project work, the local students organised activities and social events, allowing us to connect even more and build lasting friendships. The entire experience was truly unforgettable, filled with learning, creativity, and a lot of fun.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

Westminster isn’t just a university—it’s a launchpad. If you’re someone who’s ambitious, open-minded, and ready to make the most of every opportunity, this is the place for you. Dive into the experience, attend every event, engage with professionals, and embrace the vibrant city life. This isn’t just about getting a degree; it’s about building a brand for yourself in the industry. London rewards those who put themselves out there, and Westminster gives you the perfect platform to do just that.
