Marketing Management MSc – 2026
Westminster highlighted a very practical approach in the lectures and assessment briefs, which was the perfect match for learning new things in a course and applying my own knowledge. Coming from a 10-year work background, I want to become a manager after this experience, and "master’s in marketing management" is the perfect fit for that.
Why did you choose the University of Westminster?
When I decided to pursue my postgraduate course, I was sure about the subject: Marketing. So, I started searching for options in London, and Westminster highlighted a very practical approach in the lectures and assessment briefs, which was the perfect match for learning new things in a course and applying my own knowledge. Coming from a 10-year work background, I want to become a manager after this experience, and "master’s in marketing management" is the perfect fit for that.
At Westminster, we also have the opportunity to work in different positions. I, for example, can work as a Student Ambassador, Social Media Ambassador, and I got a job at the Talent Bank as a social media analyst for the Westminster Waves radio community launch. 3 opportunities that are a complement to my learning process in another country and, of course, to earn money while studying.
How has your experience been studying in London?
London is an incredible city! It is my new home. I love walking around and seeing the landscapes I was used to watching on television. To experience new activities, for example, discovering new cuisines, going to the theatre, making new friends, and being in contact with people from all over the world. I can also travel around, both inside and outside the UK, at reasonable prices compared to my home country, Brazil. It is a life experience, and I am very grateful to be living this right now.
What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?
After finishing my undergraduate studies almost 10 years ago, my course brought me back into academic life. I am very happy to be doing research, discovering new theories and putting them into practice in another country, with the knowledge I have acquired over the past years.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
It was amazing! Every lecture is very sensitive and active in our daily lives. They are available online and in person to support us, and my course leader is always aware of everything to better assist students.
Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?
My overall experience is very good, especially with my course leader, Kate. She stands out as a teacher and a human being, helping students to have the best time at university.
How has Zone29 - our home of careers and enterprise - helped you with your career journey?
I have used the mentoring program, which was amazing in supporting me with my next steps and decisions. Denis, my mentor, is very kind and is giving me excellent assistance as a student and a professional. I have also used the CV review support, which helped me stand out in the UK market. I am very grateful to the University for providing this support.
Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course
I have been part of the "Acting Society" and the "LGBTQIA+ Society", which helped me to make new friends and improve my English skills. During the first semester, my course provided a "Residential Leadership Trip" at a hotel outside London, where we learned about professional leadership challenges. I also attended the "Westminster Working Cultures UK" in April, an amazing experience to learn about this country market with multiple professionals, and we had the opportunity to do a one-day trip to Oxford, a remarkable time with my colleagues.
What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?
I am sure you will love studying on our campuses, especially in central London. We have different facilities, for example, a free gym, and many activities to engage in at the University - including paid ones.
What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?
To learn and to challenge myself every day. I take my time here very seriously; that is why I am engaged with so many activities, and I am very grateful to the University for providing me with all of them.
What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?
That I could have so many extra activities to learn and to work part-time. I have 3 paid roles at the University (Student Ambassador, Social Media Ambassador, and Social Media Analyst for Westminster Waves radio), and all of them have been very helpful to my experience in this country, to learn and earn money.
