What did you find most valuable about your course at Westminster?

Networking/connecting in all its contexts. Perhaps the most valuable aspect was a form of connection/bond/membership that can only form when one learns from and with likeminded people.

Why would you recommend Westminster as a place to study?

University of Westminster is an outstanding university, particularly in the area of human resources. Thinking back, there was such an efficient team all around, with everyone working together and helping each other and others. My degree was part of two separate departments and yet, at all times, it felt like one happy family. Westminster encouraged curiosity and a love for learning with an independent mind.

What was the best thing about being a student in London?

Two of Westminster’s campuses are in Central London, with fantastic access to all universities and libraries across London, as part of the University of London consortium.

Regent Street Cinema, located in Regent Street Campus is undoubtedly a representative feature of both the history and legacy of Westminster. I am aware that Regent Street Cinema reopened after my time at Westminster in 2015, but it was a memorable lecture theatre during my study days. Also, giving birth whilst studying was a highlight!

What advice would you give to someone thinking of pursuing a similar career to you?

If writing is within you as a career, don't let it fade away – nourish your talent!
