The most rewarding aspect of my Westminster experience was building connections with people from diverse backgrounds and with varying interests.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose the University of Westminster because I was drawn to its diverse range of modules and the opportunity to explore different parts of London beyond my borough. Additionally, I saw it as a chance to build a network in my hometown, where the majority of job opportunities are located.

How has your experience been studying in London?

Studying in London has been good. The city offers many leisure and cultural opportunities.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

While the initial year of study was challenging due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the subsequent two years allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of Television. Collaborating with like-minded peers to develop and deliver projects was a highlight.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

I found that the lecturers were readily available to offer support and guidance, especially when students showed a keen interest in exploring topics beyond their standard modules.

Have you used the University Careers and Employability Service?

Yes, I utilised the University's Careers and Employability Service to apply to Black History Year Create. The program is a six-month initiative designed to empower Black final-year students. It focuses on enhancing our confidence, visibility, and individuality as we prepare to enter the workforce after graduation. 

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

I would advise prospective students to take advantage of all the opportunities offered to them. These experiences not only develop you as a person but also enhance your  journey as a student.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

The freedom to shape and develop yourself stands out as the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?
