Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

When I started attending Open Days at universities in the United Kingdom, the University of Westminster was on my top five list. What made me pursue Westminster was not only the ranking but also my experience from their Open Day. After attending the Open Day, I left campus inspired and motivated to work hard towards a career in Marketing. I immediately knew Westminster Business School was the right fit for me. I saw how diverse, creative, and innovative it was and didn't even need until the end of the day that this was it for me.

How has your experience been studying in London?

My experience has been truly amazing, I still cannot wrap my mind around it. My campus is in Marylebone, and initially, it felt surreal to sit in classes and admire Madam Tussauds. Having a campus in central London gives you exposure to the city's incredible culture, you fall in love with it each day, and soon you realise London is the place to be if you are determined to be the best in what you do. What I love most is that the Westminster Business School has many extracurricular activities that help you to get to know the city better and feel at home!

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I couldn't be happier with my choice of programme, from the interactive modules that stimulate you to think creatively, out of the box and get out of your comfort zone to the ones that give you priceless insights into the Marketing industry. Each one of my modules has helped me build knowledge in many fields, and my module leaders have made me confident that I am ready to step into a graduate job - which is priceless.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

Lecturer support has been excellent throughout my time at Westminster Business School. Whenever I have had difficulties understanding any concept or task, I have been offered support, even outside of the academic hours of my lecturers. They would always put us students first and offer help even with daily struggles, such as juggling work and university or being overwhelmed. This helped my mental health and made my experience at university easier.

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?

As part of the Marketing course, you are eligible for a free subscription to the Financial Times, Adobe Creative, Office 365, and Grammarly, which are incredible tools you will need for future jobs in the industry.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

I would say - go for it because if you don't, you will probably regret it. I have not only gained valuable knowledge in Marketing but also received excellent academic support and met some amazing people I am proud to know!

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

I would say support. Life at university, especially if you are in your twenties, can be quite difficult to handle. Like it or not, we are still confused about how life will play out for us. At the University of Westminster, you have great course leaders and personal tutors supporting you throughout your entire journey, giving you great advice, motivating you to work hard every day and guiding you in the right direction.
