The academic support has been great, and the course leaders and lecturers have been very helpful with our future career planning

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose this University because I wanted to experience studying in the heart of London at a diverse campus with similar values to that of the IB Diploma, which I have achieved, and recognised the importance of international cultural awareness.

How has your experience been studying in London?

It has been very exciting studying in London and I have learned a lot about London life after my time apart from the country living abroad with my family.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I have enjoyed the creativity that is allowed through the practical application of the modules on my course. I think this course is perfect for anyone who wants to venture into more creative fields, or progress with their studies. This course is also a perfect framework for future entrepreneurs, and the course and the University offer so many support programmes, such as the mentoring scheme, to help students build their business ideas.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

The academic support has been great, and the course leaders and lecturers have been very helpful with our future career planning.

Tell us about your experience of using the University Careers and Employability Service

The Employability Award is really helpful in seeing what skills you have for the job market, and what skills you need to attain. The CV and cover letter writing workshops are also great help when applying for placements.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

I have been a course representative for two years now, and this experience is really good for anyone looking to develop their communication and teamwork skills. The role is particularly useful for developing soft skills and for working with your peers.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

Don't hesitate because the University is quite big, that is one of the aspects that makes it so exciting to be studying here. Everyone is so kind and lovely, and it is easy to find your place here.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

The best aspect is the proximity to Central London, and all the help and support that is available to us directly through local grants and trusts, as well as the University's own programs for developing our business ideas and achieving our career goals.
