the skills I learnt at Westminster still help me on a daily basis. Westminster has taught me the fundamentals and with research and hard work I have broadened my skills.

What are you doing now?

I am working as a Media Communications Specialist which consists of communications within the UN, graphic design, web design, web development, social media, marketing, digital marketing, etc.

What did you find most valuable about your course at Westminster? How did the skills you learnt during your degree help you to shape your career?

The lecturers are happy to help consistently if you ask for help. Of course the skills I learnt at Westminster still help me on a daily basis. Westminster has taught me the fundamentals and with research and hard work, I have broadened my skills.

What was the best thing about being a student in London?

All resources are available if you seek and look for them. London is a beautiful city especially for studying. You meet multicultural friends and you learn from each one.

What extra-curricular activities did you participate in that enhanced your time at the University?

I was the course representative for the duration of two years.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of pursuing a similar career?

If you want to learn, it's easy. We all attend university to learn, gain skills and knowledge, so make the most of the time. You may come across new paths and skills that you never knew about but try to research it, ask lecturers, students, the Internet, the library. Sweat to gain – it feels good!

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?

I had many sleepless nights staying overnight in the campus library, but in the end it all paid off. My final year project was chosen to be in the University library for other students to use as an example of a successful project. It makes me feel proud and also other students benefited from my hard work, not just me. I advise students to work hard, try hard and in the end it will all pay off. A time will come when you will miss student life and ask why you didn't try hard enough but by then it may be a little late for you to go through it again because of other commitments. So make the most of it. If you decided to be there in the first place then be there for what you went for! Good luck to all the students at the University of Westminster.
