MA Urban and Regional Planning RTPI/BCC Scholarship 2026–27

The MA URP Scholarship offers £5,000 to support UK students undertaking the full-time MA Urban and Regional Planning programme at the University of Westminster.

Generously funded by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Planning Skills Fund and offered in collaboration with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), the scholarship aims to provide opportunities for individuals who may not otherwise have been able to pursue a career in planning, while also strengthening planning services. The scholarship will be paid directly to the University to cover your tuition fees.

As part of the award, the BCC and RTPI also intend to facilitate mentoring and work experience opportunities for recipients. In return, recipients are expected to work in a council planning role for at least two years upon completion of their studies. Selection will be based on the overall merit of each candidate’s application, taking into account (academic) achievements and personal statements. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to an interview before a final decision is made.
