Chancerygate Foundation Bursary

The Chancerygate Foundation Bursary supports talented undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds to study Real Estate or Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management at the University of Westminster.

The bursary has been established with the support of the Chancerygate Foundation to help widen access to careers within the property and construction sectors and encourage greater diversity within the industry.

Successful recipients will receive financial support towards the essential costs of living and studying. Alongside the bursary, students will have opportunities to develop their career and gain professional experience through activities such as internships and work placements.

Amount

Up to £10,000 per year for each year of study.

The bursary is intended to support essential living and study costs, including accommodation, books and equipment. It cannot be used towards tuition fees.

In addition to financial support, the successful recipient will have the opportunity to take part in career development opportunities, which may include internships and work placements.

The recipient will also be expected to keep the Chancerygate Foundation updated on their academic progress throughout their course. University of Westminster staff will support the recipient in maintaining this relationship.

Eligible courses:

  • Real Estate BSc Honours
  • Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management BSc Honours
Criteria

To be considered for the Chancerygate Foundation Bursary, applicants must:

  • hold an offer to study an eligible undergraduate course at the University of Westminster
  • identify as Black British (African or Caribbean)
  • have a family household income of less than £25,000 per year
  • be aged 26 or under before starting their course
