The Legal Careers, Employability and Professional Development Hub delivers a varied programme of events throughout the year designed to equip students with the skills, confidence, and insights they need to succeed in their chosen careers. Our events bring together experts from across the legal profession and beyond to share their experiences, offer practical guidance, and provide students with opportunities to engage directly with employers and practitioners.
Highlights include the In Conversation With speaker series, which features leaders from the legal sector and related fields, as well as sessions on career research and planning, international careers, routes into the legal profession, and how to gain legal and work experience. Students also benefit from practical workshops on LawTech, diversity in law, making applications, commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and succeeding at assessment centres and interviews.
To prepare students for professional recruitment processes, we also offer mock interview practice, mock assessment centre exercises, and tailored feedback. These events, alongside many others, ensure that students develop both the professional skills and the industry awareness needed to thrive in the legal profession and the diverse career pathways beyond.
