Lost in Music is part of a project developed by academics at Westminster Law School which aims to help demystify and aid the understanding of issues within the music industry. The project is a free, open access website available to all.

The project title alludes to the Sister Sledge classic track 'Lost in Music' - its premise is that much of the legal, business and other issues within the music industry are not always easily understood. Lost in Music aims to provide a way for artists, students, industry personnel and the general public to find their way through the maze.

At present Lost in Music is concerned with demystifying music plagiarism and providing a vehicle for people to more fully understand the basics of music copyright infringement, but the wider aim of Lost in Music is to increase understanding of a variety of issues within the music industry.
