LNS is a charity that supports students from underrepresented communities through their architectural education. This will help to maintain the rich diversity of Westminster's student body, and lead to a more socially aware profession. The scholarship offers students £15,000 as well as a variety of support to help their career, including mentoring, work experience and industry networking opportunities.

This year, they have selected three scholars to receive support throughout all three years of their Architecture course, with two being Westminster’s Architecture BA Honours students, Anthony Effah-Yeboah and Maliha Ibrahim.

To celebrate their achievement, they were invited to a celebratory event on 11 November, where students and colleagues gathered at Stitch Architecture's offices to commemorate the announcement.

In reaction to the news, Maliha said: “I’m so grateful for this life-changing opportunity, which will give me ample time to focus on my architectural studies at Westminster with an amazing support network around me.”

Anthony added: “This scholarship gives me the opportunity to be more experimental and robust, to be bolder in my creative process and focused on everything Westminster has to offer me.”

About the scholarships Samir Pandya, Assistant Head of the School of Architecture + Cities, said: “The LNS Scholarship will provide valuable support, not only financially but through mentoring and networking opportunities. We were thrilled to receive the news, and both Anthony and Maliha are deserving recipients. We are very grateful to the LNS, they are providing support which promises to be transformative.”

Richa Mukhia, Architecture BA Honours Year One Leader, added: “We are delighted that Anthony and Maliha have been awarded the LNS Scholarship. Both students are talented, committed and hugely deserving of this prize. The opportunities and support awarded will no doubt be invaluable for these two ambitious students.”
