During the visit, Professor Chatterjee met with a group of Westminster colleagues to discuss how the two institutions can collaborate more closely together, looking into a number of areas, including student and staff mobility, research and credit transfer opportunities. The team hopes that in due course the visit will lead to two-way mobility opportunities which will support the employability skills of graduates.

Professor Chatterjee met with Professor Dibyesh Anand, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Global Employability and Engagement, Professor Anastasios Maragiannis, Associate Head of College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries, Stephen Wallis, Director of Transnational Education, Samir Pandya, Assistant Head of School of Architecture and Cities and Zuzana Bardino, International Partnerships Officer.

O.P. Jindal Global is a private university established in 2009 in Sonipat in Haryana, India. After the success of the visit, colleagues at Westminster hope that there will be a return visit by a delegation from the University of Westminster in February 2024.

About the visit Professor Anand commented: “It was a pleasure to host Professor Chatterjee at the University and learn about the excellent work his School is doing and discuss how we might work more closely together to widen the opportunities for students and colleagues at both our institutions. We are committed to playing a crucial role in furthering India-UK collaborations in higher education and beyond.”
