About the programmes
Foundation Certificate in Business, Law and Social Sciences
The Foundation Certificate is a one-year programme designed to prepare international students for an undergraduate degree course at the University of Westminster.
The foundation certificate is designed to prepare students for undergraduate study. The course covers a range of skills needed to commence a Bachelor's degree with confidence, including note-taking, presentation, avoiding plagiarism, time management, essay writing and much more. English language tuition is also available at various levels should you need it.
In general, entry to the foundation certificate requires students to have passed Grade 12 or equivalent (for specific entry requirements please contact KIC London). They will also need to exhibit English language ability, usually via an IELTS test. The greater a student's proficiency in English, the shorter the programme and the sooner they can progress to a Bachelor's degree.
The Foundation Certificate is an excellent introduction to studying your chosen subject at Westminster. Alongside the required subject-specific classes, the Certificate offers coaching in essential study skills including essay writing, making presentations and academic English.

Graduate Diploma in Business, Law and Social Sciences
This course is for international students who do not meet the University of Westminster's entry criteria for direct entry to our business, law and social science related Master's courses. Delivered by Kaplan International College LondonGo to KIC London's Graduate Diploma page (KIC London), the Graduate Diploma is designed to prepare you for postgraduate study.
The Graduate Diploma course covers a range of study skills that will allow you to enter the Master's degree of your choice with confidence. These include note taking, presentation skills, avoiding plagiarism, time management skills, essay writing and much more. English language tuition is also available at a wide range of levels for students who need it.

Successful completion of the Foundation Certificate or Graduate Diploma guarantees you a place to study your chosen degree at the University of Westminster. The level of qualification you need to meet will be noted on your offer letter.
