The Centre for Legal Education and the Legal Profession (CLELP) is one of the UK's leading hubs for research and innovation in legal education and the legal profession. We study how the profession and legal services market are changing, and how legal education in law schools is evolving through rigorous empirical, doctrinal and socio-legal research.

About the speaker

Dan Hunter
Professor Dan Hunter is Executive Dean of the The Dickson Poon School of Law at King's College London and one of the world’s leading experts on the intersection of law, technology, and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining King’s, he served as Executive Dean of the Faculty of Law at Queensland University of Technology and as the founding Dean of Swinburne Law School in Australia.
An internationally recognised scholar in AI and law, Professor Hunter has written extensively on intelligent legal systems, intellectual property, gamification, and the future of legal practice. His current research focuses on how innovation and generative AI are transforming legal services, legal education, and the profession more broadly.
Alongside his academic work, he is a legal technology entrepreneur and cofounder of the generative AI company Graceview.ai. He has founded multiple startups across legaltech, edtech, and regulatory technology, and is also the creator of the Future Law Podcast. Professor Hunter is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law and a regular commentator on the evolving relationship between law and emerging technologies.
