Welcome to your course
Welcome from your Course Leader
Congratulations on gaining a place on Architecture with Foundation BA, an exciting, inspiring and fulfilling year lies ahead. The first Semester begins with welcome week activities starting on 15 September. Attendance is very important, so please email me if you are unable to make it (my contact details are at the bottom of this message).
Essential Kit
You will need to be suitably equipped for your studies, so we’ve worked together with a supplier called Artway to put together a kit of essential items. You should order the kit directly by going to the Artway website. The deadline for ordering is 11.59pm on Wednesday 10th September. If you have difficulties ordering online (e.g. you are doing this from abroad) please contact Artway directly by phone.
The kit will be delivered to us for you to collect during welcome week (see the timetable below for exact dates).
Buying the kit directly is much cheaper than sourcing items separately. You can put it together yourself but please note that there are very few art-supply shops in central London and they may not have some of the items such as the A3 sketchbook.
You will be using drawing media and your A3 sketchbook in the very first week so please ensure you are prepared.
Best wishes

Welcome to the School of Architecture + Cities
During your time in the School the focus is on your work and creative outputs – and we are committed helping you achieve your potential. As well as the full-time teaching staff, leading practitioners teach on our courses, and employers mentor students. The School brings together a variety of disciplines to address future environmental and social challenges – urban and environmental design to architecture, architectural technology, interior architecture, planning, and tourism and events. Our Marylebone campus is perfectly placed for exploring London, and houses some of the most advanced teaching and fabrication spaces in the city.
During your welcome week, there will be a programme of activities arranged for you, so please attend all the events on your individual timetable – as well as the formality of enrolment, you will get to work with your course tutors and fellow students.
Best wishes
