I have significant experience within the design, building technology and procurement sector of the construction industry. Specifically, I have extensive experience with residential and commercial procurement and refurbishment centred on, but not exclusive to, the particular design and construction challenges pertinent to London and the UK. Previously I have worked for a specialist architectural fabricator and for a number of London based architectural practices.

Some specific architectural projects in which I have been involved have included a new build house on the island of Mustique, and the extensive refurbishment of a large house in Chelsea.

A large mixed-use scheme involving the renovation and multi-story extension of an existing 1960's office building, with new build residential block. The renovation and multi-story extension, of a Victorian warehouse. The residential extension of a Georgian town house and work as consultant on a luxury residential tower block in Beirut.

As well as my academic activities I am currently a partner in a small architectural design practice. This business was established in 2004, current projects include a number of residential projects in Europe. In London we have achieved planning approval for a large warehouse conversion and multi-story extension with construction due to commence soon. We have worked on various feasibilities studies, including the refurbishment of a building to include a theatre/exhibition space. Other work includes building management and various consultation and interior design / refurbishment projects.

I am involved in the design, delivery and planning of all design studies modules, more specifically. Lecturer / Tutor Design Studies 1, taught to all Construction studies students. Tutor Design Studies 2, BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology. Tutor Design Studies 3, BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology. I also act as a personal tutor.
