About me

Tanushree Ravikumar is a doctoral researcher in the School of Management and Marketing at the University of Westminster. Her research investigates how cultural heritage aesthetics circulate through branding and digital consumer culture, with a focus on identity, perception and the visibility of makers. She is particularly interested in the relationship between heritage-rooted design, cultural reinterpretation and the ways young consumers make meaning from them.

She works with qualitative and interpretive approaches and holds postgraduate degrees in Marketing Management, Digital Business and International Business.

Teaching

Tanu is developing teaching experience in marketing, consumer behaviour and qualitative methods. She is appointed as a Visiting Lecturer in the School of Management and Marketing.

Research

Tanu’s work examines cultural heritage, identity and ethical branding within digital consumer culture. Her PhD focuses on how heritage aesthetics are interpreted by young consumers, how meaning changes when heritage is repositioned by brands and how this affects cultural visibility and value.
