I am the Assistant Head of School of Accounting and Finance; I joined the Westminster Business School, as a senior lecturer in August 2014. Previously I have taught at other Higher Education Institutions in the UK. I have also previous experience in banking software development and management.
I lead modules in corporate governance, business ethics and research methods at the undergraduate and post-graduate level as well as supervise a PhD student.
I have researched and published journal articles in the field of corporate governance, specifically examining if boards of directors had any influence in the probability of firms becoming insolvent. My research interests include risk management, corporate social responsibility, corporate culture and business ethics.
My current research topics include whether a rules based approach to corporate social responsibility is beneficial to the stakeholder and if teaching ethics to tomorrow's accountants has an effect on their moral development.
