About me

I work at the intersection of product management, project management, and process improvement, integrating academic practice with more than a decade of consulting and professional training. My practice focuses on Agile delivery, product leadership, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement, and I regularly support public sector bodies, charities, and industry partners in digital transformation and organisational change.

I contribute to professional standards development with PMI, APMG and PeopleCert, and my experience in shaping global certifications directly informs my academic practice. My current interests include applied project practice, generative AI, human centred design, and the capabilities required for modern, adaptive organisations.

Beyond academia, I am active in civic and community leadership. I serve as a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London, chair Barking and Ilford United Charities, and support interfaith and social inclusion initiatives through the London Faith and Belief Awards & Bharat Cricket Community. I previously served as District Governor for Rotary in London and continue to contribute to voluntary sector and community development work across the city.

Teaching

I teach across project management, product management, process improvement, and Agile ways of working. My teaching draws heavily on industry practice, promoting practical competence, critical thinking, and reflective learning. I design learning that links theory to real organisational challenges, using cases, simulations, and scenario based activities.

My approach emphasises applied understanding, evidence based decision making, and the ability to navigate complex and adaptive environments. I integrate insights from professional bodies such as PMI, APMG and PeopleCert, ensuring that learners benefit from current practitioner expectations and industry trends.

I am particularly interested in the future of project and product work, including the role of generative AI, emerging skills, and the development of human centred, ethically informed practice.

Research

My research focuses on sustainability and resilience frameworks for small and medium enterprises, particularly how they adopt responsible and future focused practices under constraints of capability, resources, and scale. I am interested in how operational processes, project delivery approaches, and data informed decision making influence SME sustainability.

Other areas of interest include generative AI in project and product environments, design thinking for organisational problem solving, and the evolution of professional standards in the project management discipline. I welcome conversations with practitioners, researchers, and organisations exploring these themes or looking to collaborate on applied studies.
