Currently conducting a PhD in Sociology at the University of Westminster on the Palestinian electronic music scene focusing on resistance practices, belonging, pleasure and other dynamics within it.
I hold an MSc on Social Sciences Research Methods from the University of Bristol. Previously, I studied a double BA at the University of Valencia in Law and Political Science (2013-2018).
I am particularly interested in questions of popular culture, intersecting with power and resistance, especially electronic music and dance scenes in non-regulated spaces (DIY practices) or conflict/(neo)colonial regions.
Visiting Lecturer in the modules 'London Explored' and 'Research Methods' (University of Westminster).
Besides the PhD, I have been conducting independent research on 'free party' culture and migration, presented at the International Night Studies Conference (July 2020) called 'Temporary Autonomous Home: integration and belonging on the margins of late-night leisure'.
