About me

Dr Eshan Dauhoo (LLB, BSc, LLM, MA, PhD, PGCert Psych, PGCert Int’l Law, PGDip Eur Law) holds a distinctive role as Lecturer in Legal Education and Wellbeing within the Law School. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, his work reflects a longstanding commitment to supporting students’ academic development, wellbeing and wider university experience.

Having previously served as Deputy Senior Tutor, Eshan has extensive experience of working closely with students to understand and respond to the challenges they encounter throughout their studies. Integral to his work has been coaching focused on academic wellbeing and performance, supporting students to develop the skills, strategies and confidence needed to manage their studies effectively and approach their academic work with greater confidence and independence.

Eshan has also contributed to work across the Law School and wider University focused on student wellbeing, student partnership and a sense of belonging. This work has included contributing to initiatives that place students at the heart of their academic experience, recognising the importance of supporting students not only to succeed academically, but also to feel connected, confident and able to make the most of university life.

Teaching

Eshan's teaching spans crime-related subjects as well as those focused on building students' academic legal skills. Eshan also delivers tailored coaching sessions that help law students strengthen their study strategies and wellbeing practices, with the aim of building academic confidence, competence and a sense of belonging within the Law School. 

Research

Eshan's research interests centre mainly on Legal Education and Wellbeing.
