The University of Westminster wishes Eid Mubarak to all of our students, colleagues, alumni and friends celebrating.
Eid al-Adha, also known as ‘The Festival of Sacrifice’, is the second of the two official holidays of Eid celebrated by the Muslim community. The holiday honours the willingness of Abraham so sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God’s command.
The celebrations began in the UK in the evening of Monday 19 July, and will end on the evening of Friday 23 July.
