Fashion students Ziqiu Feng and Chiara Stanca have recently secured work placements at the Women@Dior & UNESCO international mentorship and educational programme, an annual, year-long initiative empowering young women under 30 worldwide.

The programme launched in 2017 and is built on House of Dior’s unique expertise in knowledge exchange, skills and its community of motivated and inspiring talent. It has now supported over 2,500 young women selected from a wide range of studies, including Business, Engineering, Art, Fashion, Hospitality, Communication and International Relations.
Through the programme’s educational offerings, mentees are guided by esteemed leaders and guest speakers who delve into vital subjects, such as gender equality and women leadership, that pave the way for responsible futures. Additionally, they receive personalised support from their dedicated Dior mentors, helping them navigate the early stages of their careers and embark on professional exploration.
The programme experience culminates in the collective creation and realisation of the Dream for Change Project, which provides mentees the opportunity to collaborate in small groups to design and propose a concrete initiative that advances the empowerment of girls and young women and generates positive social impact in their communities.
Ziqiu, a Fashion Manufacturing MA student, said: “I’m truly honoured to be selected for the Women@Dior & UNESCO programme. With a background in fashion textiles and current studies in fashion manufacturing, I’m passionate about connecting creativity with industry. I hope to continue exploring how fashion can be both creative and meaningful, engaging with a wider range of people and experiences. At the same time, I aim to contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future for fashion while continuously developing my perspective within a global context.”
Chiara Stanca, Fashion Business Management BA Honours, student added: “Being selected for the Women@Dior & UNESCO initiative is a moment of immense pride for me. Dior has always held a special place in my heart, symbolising not only craftsmanship and creativity but also the strength of women's influence. Shaped by my Italian heritage and the remarkable women in my life, I carry values that guide my ambitions. This programme will further strengthen my commitment to challenging inequality and building a future where every woman's voice is heard, celebrated and valued.”
