The Arab Revolution 10 Years On: Critical Reflections on a Decade of Turmoil (Book Launch)

Centre for the study of democracy logo

We are delighted to announce a series of events this semester, which showcase new research and publications in a variety of disciplines relating to democratisation, bordering practices, justice, anticolonial and antiracist pedagogies and feminist organising.

About this event

In the last decade, the West Asia and North Africa region has witnessed momentous events, from social justice struggles and mobilisations to massive uprisings and revolutions. The region is still a cauldron of resistance advancing demands of dignity, bread, social justice, freedom and sovereignty. In this book, edited by Hamza Hamouchene and Miriyam Aouragh, the revolutionary rehearsals are explored, and the rhythms of resistance are analysed to remind us that the struggles didn't die but are ongoing.

Location

This event will occur in person in room RS UG04, 309 Regent St., London W1B 2HW.
