Join us for Dr Wendy Fitzgibbon's presentation of her new book, Applied Photovoice in Criminal Justice.

About the event

In Applied Photovoice in Criminal Justice, Wendy Fitzgibbon explores and illustrates how Photovoice – a participatory, active research tool – can enable new insights and engagement with both marginalised people and those working with them in the criminal justice system. Written in a clear and direct style, the book builds on her leading research in creative methodology and is essential reading for all those engaged with criminal justice, criminological research methods and visual criminology.

The event will start with an introduction from Professor Dibyesh Anand, Head of the School of Social Sciences. It will also feature Angeline Gore, CEO of Browns Community Service CIC, who was involved in the first pilot project using Photovoice at Reading Women's Centre.

A drinks reception will follow the book launch.
