Wishing our community a blessed Wesak

We wish peace, unity and joy to all our students, colleagues, alumni and friends celebrating.

Also known as Buddha Day, Wesak commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Buddha.

Celebrated this year on Friday 1 May or Sunday 31 May - dates vary depending on local lunar calendars - Wesak is the most important of the Buddhist festivals and is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of May.

Celebrate Wesak

Join us for this special celebration of Wesak Day and experience the richness of the local and global diversity at Westminster.

This year, we're celebrating it the Tibetan way, with enriching activities and cultural experiences as part of the World in Westminster series.

Book your place to our World in Westminster Café Wesak - Wednesday 6 May.

The World in Westminster series is part of the Westminster Programme for Enhancing Inclusion, Belonging, and Sustainable Development led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dibyesh Anand.
