Highlight videos and full-length recordings of the alumni employability talk series, What it Takes, are now available for viewing online.

What it Takes is a series of events that gives a platform to alumni to speak to students about a wide range of issues, focusing on employability, and personal and professional development.

The 2020-2021 series featured 21 exciting Westminster alumni speakers, and was attended collectively by more than 2,000 Westminster students and recent graduates. There were a total of 10 events spread across the two semesters, with the programme initially being kickstarted online in October 2020 with ‘What it Takes to Master your Digital Branding for your Career’.

The events, most of which are now available on YouTube, explored a wide range of issues, such as how to build a successful digital or online business, how to be a successful leader, and how to boost confidence and self-esteem.

Digital branding expert, alumna Rituja Ravikiran Rao, reflected on the first event by saying: “It was a great experience delivering a keynote for the What it Takes to Master your Digital Branding event with the amazing [co-speaker] Manuel Heichlinger. I am extremely humbled by the feedback I received; it really motivates me to do more of what I do!”

The second event of the series was titled ‘What it Takes to Manage your Mental Health and Wellbeing’. Panellist Anastasia Vinnikova said: “The What it Takes to Manage your Mental Health and Wellbeing online alumni event was a great conversation with students and alumni on a very important topic.”
