Are you interested in working for the United Nations and gaining international experience?
The University of Westminster’s exclusive partnership with UN Migration (International Organization for Migration – IOM) offers Westminster students and recent graduates the opportunity to undertake funded international internships with the UN.
Since the programme began in 2022, Westminster students and graduates have undertaken placements in IOM offices around the world, with the University sponsoring close to 400 months of internships. Interns have contributed to areas including migration policy and research, programme support, communications, migrant health and protection, data and analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and human resources, gaining practical skills and first-hand experience of working within the UN system.
Former interns have described the experience as “life-changing” and “career-defining”, and for some the programme has provided a stepping stone to further opportunities and employment within IOM and the wider international development sector.
Please note: the programme is open to Level 5, Level 6 and Level 7 Westminster students. It is not open to first-year undergraduate students.
