My role
I am the University Secretary and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the University of Westminster, serving as a key member of the senior leadership team. In this role, I provide strategic leadership across Professional Services, ensure effective governance, and support the Vice Chancellor, the Court of Governors, and the wider executive in delivering the institution’s ambitions. My portfolio includes oversight of major operational functions, governance processes, regulatory compliance, and the coordination of institutional priorities across academic and professional domains.
Background
Before becoming University Secretary and COO, I held senior financial leadership roles within the University, including serving as Director of Finance. Across my finance career, I have led large, multi-disciplinary teams responsible for the full spectrum of financial operations - budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, business intelligence, and day-to-day financial management.
I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and a qualified Prince2 Practitioner. My extensive professional background spans start-up enterprises, large multinational corporations, government bodies, and not-for-profit organisations. This breadth of experience has equipped me with exceptional insight into complex stakeholder environments and the governance and operational requirements of diverse organisations.
