About me

I am a psychology researcher and Associate Lecturer (Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy), currently teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. My academic interests lie primarily in qualitative research, with a particular focus on body image, eating disorders, and mental health. My research contributions also extend to chronic illness, psychopathology, therapeutic integration, social media, and carer support, reflecting a broader commitment to understanding psychological well-being across contexts.

In addition to my work in clinical and health psychology, I have developed a strong interest in organisational and applied psychology, with experience in areas such as team leadership, recruitment, project coordination, and training delivery. My academic background includes formal training in organisational behaviour, project management, and human resources, which I integrate into both teaching and applied work. This interdisciplinary foundation enables me to engage with topics such as workplace well-being, leadership development, and professional training from both a psychological and practical perspective, bridging research with real-world application.

I hold a PhD in Psychology from the University of Westminster, along with an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (University of Derby) and an MA in Education (Psychology) from UCL’s Institute of Education. My academic work spans teaching, research, and supervision, and I have published over 25 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. In addition to my research and teaching, I also serve as a reviewer for academic journals, contributing to the peer review process and supporting the quality and integrity of scholarly publishing.

Passionate about accessible, evidence-based education, I am committed to empowering students, supporting academic communities, and contributing to inclusive and innovative psychological practice in both academic and applied settings.
