Raouf has a first degree in American and European History & Politics and a Masters in Diplomatic Studies. His doctorate was on US foreign policy towards revolutionary Iran.

Raouf teaches the following topics at Westminster: Democracy in America, American Foreign Policy and Political Analysis.
Research
His research interests include EU-US relations, US foreign policy towards the Middle East and comparative politics.
