I am a part-time Senior Lecturer in the School of Organisations, Economy and Society within Westminster Business School as well as a part-time Senior Consultant with Total Reward Group (now part of AJ Gallagher). I deliver Post Graduate modules in Reward Management and International HRM as well as supervise student dissertations on Reward with particular emphasis on Reward and International HR. I am a tutor on the Business Experience Placements module and part of the teaching team for the level 6 Global Strategic Management module. I am a founder member of the Total Reward Group which was set up in 2005 providing Reward services to commercial and not for profit organisations who frequently provide opportunities to apply student research. I am very committed to bridging the gap between employers and academia by putting student research into practice. Before TRG, I was a Senior Manager at PwC assigned to the internal Global Mobility staff programme. I also run the CIPD training courses on Global Mobility and tutor their Reward Management programme. My undergraduate studies were at the University of Wales from 1983 to 1986 and postgraduate studies with the University of Westminster between 1990 and 1992 including recently completing the PGCHE in 2018.
I have been teaching the post graduate Reward Management and International HRM modules at the Westminster Business school since September 2016. The Reward Management module teaches students how to design reward systems in private and public sectors as well as explore external reward issues such as Minimum Wage legislation, Executive Pay and the Gender Pay Gap. I also supervise dissertations on Corporate Governance and the Gender Pay Gap. The IHRM module covers the International Resourcing approaches, Global Employment structures, Intercultural awareness and Global Mobility Reward. The teaching style is interactive, topical, case study driven and applicable to the modern global working environment. Before this I was a Visiting Lecturer with Westminster Business School since September 2014. I am also on the teaching team for the level 6 Global Strategic Management module as well as supervise undergraduate students on Business Experience Placements.
