I have been teaching a diverse range of law modules at both Westminster Business School and Westminster Law School since 2007 and am a course leader for BA Human Resource Management. Apart from my teaching roles, I am also involved in other significant activities in Westminster, I am the current co-chair of Women of Westminster (WOW)  a women’s network that lobbies for gender equity and promotes diversity and inclusivity, it is open to all colleagues to join. I am a committee member of the EDI (Equality Diversity and Inclusion) Committee. The purpose of the EDI Committee is to make recommendations to the University Executive Board about the strategic direction, priorities, and objectives for EDI at the University; to support university-wide engagement with EDI; and to help enable the development and delivery of EDI programmes of work and action plans. I also sit on the Mitigating Circumstances (MC) Review Board for SOES and the EDI Programme Board and was a former Equality Officer for UCU.

Research

I was the project lead for a recent QHT funded project working in collaboration with WBS undergraduate students and the Marylebone Project (homeless charity for women) which was a great success. The project was covered on the University homepage:  https://www.westminster.ac.uk/news/westminster-business-school-students-team-up-with-local-charity-to-help-homeless-women-develop

My research interests are gender equity in the workplace and obstructions faced by the international refugee community.  I am  the Area Convenor for Watford and Three Rivers for Herts Welcomes Refugees (HWR) which provides a range of assistance and support to refugees and asylum seekers across the county to complement that provided by local councils and the Refugee Council's Hertfordshire Resettlement Project.
