About me
Liatu is a doctoral researcher at the School of Social Sciences at the University of Westminster. She is an Economist with over nine years of professional experience across diverse sectors and has established herself in social sciences and economic analysis. Her project is titled "Understanding Help-Seeking Behaviors amongst Victims of Intimate Partner Violence".
Her academic credentials include a Master of Science in International Business and Economic Development from the University of Kent and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the American University of Nigeria. Liatu’s career has spanned roles in international organizations and private enterprises, including a position as an Economist Specialist at the Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission.
Research
Liatu's research focuses on the intersection of gender studies, economics, governance, and international development studies, particularly within the African context. Key areas of her academic inquiry include gender-based violence and feminist-social movements.
