About me
I work as a Senior Lecturer in Organisational Psychology at the University of Westminster in London, UK. I hold a PhD in Business Psychology, and am also an award recipient from the International Conference on Organisational Psychology in New York.
My research explores individual differences, conflict management, social identity, as well as cultural research with a focus on Jordan’s collectivist society.
In addition to my academic work, I bring industry experience as a Recruitment Officer in a telecommunications company in Jordan, and I volunteer with the North London Mental Health Trust (NLFT) in London, supporting trauma-informed projects.
Teaching
My teaching is mainly in the areas of business and organisational psychology, organisational behaviour, individual differences, and communication. I have a long-standing interest in understanding the personality traits and preferences of individuals in the workplace.
Research
My research revolves around how people in organisations behave, particularly when working in teams, during conflicts, and when making decisions. I focus on examining the associations between personality traits, team roles, conflict management styles, and decision making styles in relation to employee performance, job satisfaction, and climate for innovation.
My research also examines social identity, gender, and cultural differences with a focus on Jordan’s collectivist society.
Much of my work has been carried out through adopting the quantitative approach and using well established instruments.
