About me
I joined Westminster Business School in 2020, following experience in both professional marketing practice and higher education. Alongside postgraduate study, I have worked with SMEs across a range of industries, supporting the effective use of marketing to inform business growth strategies.
I have held teaching roles in higher education, working with undergraduate and postgraduate business students. My teaching focuses on authentic learning approaches and education for sustainability, supporting students to apply marketing theory to real-world organisational and societal challenges.
Teaching
I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and Digital Marketing Institute (DMI). I lead and teach marketing and branding modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I currently lead a new cross-university interdisciplinary module, 'Sustainability Consulting in Practice', and teach on core modules within the MSc Sustainability Management and Innovation and MA/MSc Marketing Communications programmes. At undergraduate level, I teach on core modules within the BA Marketing Management and BA Business Management courses.
Research
My work focuses on research and practice that contribute to positive societal change. My research interests centre on sustainability in management education and the role and responsibility of marketing in promoting more ethical and sustainable consumption, including the influence of cultural perceptions and attitudes.
I am part of the team leading the delivery of the University of Westminster Climate Assembly (UWCA) the first climate assembly to be held within a UK university. The project is delivered in partnership with students, who are involved both as members of the UWCA and as part of the delivery team. This work brings together sustainability, pedagogy, and civic engagement, and informs my commitment to authentic, student-centred learning approaches.
