About me

Laura's PhD project was supervised by Professor Tom Buchanan and Dr Orkun Yetkili and looked at why individuals spread disinformation on social media, with a focus on social identity, beliefs and moral judgements. She received the Psychology Research Studentship and completed her PhD in 2023.

In 2020 she received her MSc Psychology from the University of East London. Prior to this she spent over 7 years in the fashion and retail industries working in public relations and marketing. During this time she earned her Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing and from there became interested in how technology influences behaviour.

She is now a Research Fellow in Suicide Prevention Research at Middlesex University working on a 3-year NIHR funded project evaluating the efficacy of surveillance technology at preventing suicide in public spaces.
