About me
Undergraduate degree studying medical Microbiology at Newcastle University, UK (2:1). MSc Immunology (Distinction), PhD immunology at Birmingham University. Post-doc training at Harvard Medical School, and UC Berkeley, USA studying airway inflammation
Teaching
I am the Level 4 Cell Biology Module Leader. This module introduces students to the key aspects of cell biology including cell division, metabolism, endosomal trafficking, introduction to immunology, microbiology and much more.I also teach in various other modules across all levels
Research
My research is focused on how loss of protein homeostasis (proteostasis) associatted with ageing impacts cellular functions including metabolism, growth factor signalling, immunity and response to cellular stress. I colaborate with people from QMUL, UCL, The Crick and internationally.
