About me

Michael D. Dzandu, a  Research Fellow in Digital Business at the Centre for Digital Business Research, Westminster Business School, University of Westminster where I am engaged in conducting interdisciplinary research into the theory, methods and technologies underpinning the digital transformation processes of modern enterprises. My research interest spans technology, culture and human behaviour, and my current research activities are in the areas of ontology, data and information modelling, digital twins and Industry 4.0 technologies. I have a cross-disciplinary growing research publications profile in the areas of business/management and technology. I hold a PhD in Business Informatics, Systems and Accounting from Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK and my PhD research was in context-based information systems for knowledge activities, with theoretical foundations in Semiotics and the Theory of Human Behaviour. I earned my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Computer Science and Psychology (BSc) and Librarianship (MPhil) respectively, from the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana.

Research

Apart from organising monthly research seminar series for the Centre for Digital Business Research by inviting both external speakers and staff of UoW, I am currently involved in the following research projects:

- Digital Resilience for Future Pandemics.

- Digital Twins in Construction

- Gamification of Fintech solutions.

- Digital technologies and financial inclusion in developing economies.
