About me

Michael D. Dzandu, Reader in Digital Business and Project Management at the School of Applied Management & Centre for Digital Business Research, Westminster Business School, University of Westminster. I am engaged in conducting interdisciplinary research into the theory, methods and technologies underpinning the digital transformation processes of modern enterprises. My research interests span technology, culture, and human behaviour, and my current research activities focus on ontology, data and information modelling, digital twins, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). I have a cross-disciplinary research profile with growing publications in the areas of digital business and project management, as well as technology adoption. I hold a PhD in Business Informatics, Systems and Accounting from Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK, and my PhD research was in context-based information systems for knowledge activities, with theoretical foundations in Semiotics and the Theory of Human Behaviour. I earned my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Computer Science and Psychology (BSc) and Librarianship (MPhil), respectively, from the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana.

Research

Apart from organising monthly research seminar series for the Centre for Digital Business Research by inviting both external speakers and staff of UoW, I am currently involved in the following research projects:

- Digital Twins in Construction

- Gamification of Fintech solutions.

- Digital technologies and financial inclusion in developing economies.
