About me

I joined Westminster Law School in 2025 after spending three years at the Institute for Crime and Justice Policy Research (ICPR). During this time, I was also undertaking my PhD at the University of Manchester. I specialise in miscarriages of justice, policing, and criminal justice. My research is grounded in lived experience, with a particular focus on co-production, the role of mothers in the criminal justice system, and the experiences of justice-involved women and their families. I explore how people navigate state systems and how their narratives can reshape legal, policy, and academic understandings of justice. My work is informed by feminist and queer perspectives, challenging dominant narratives and advocating for inclusive, community-led research practices. I am committed to producing collaborative, socially engaged research that informs policy, advances access to justice, and contributes to meaningful social change.
