About me
I joined the University of Westminster in 2006 and currently work as the Director for Teaching, Learning and Quality in the School of Finance and Accounting (SFA). My passion lies in facilitating educational experiences that produce transformation in the lives of students and colleagues. I am committed to facilitating Work-Integrated-Learning as a means of enabling improvements in graduate outcomes for our students.
Prior to joining SFA in 2024, I was the course leader for the BA Business Management (Entrepreneurship) programme and for the BA Business Management (Marketing) course at the University of Westminster. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I set up and led the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at Westminster Kingsway College from 2012 until 2019. Prior to leading the Academy, I was course leader for a Foundation Degree in Business and for a Higher National Diploma in Business at Westminster Kingsway College.
Teaching
My current focus is upon modules in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. I lead the Level 4 Entrepreneurship in FinTech and the Level 7 The Entrepreneurial Accountant module.
Modules I have led in the past include the Level 6 Innovative Consultancy Solutions, Level 4 Creating New Business, Level 5 New Venture Creation and the Level 6 Creating Entrepreneurial Leadership and the MBA Entrepreneurial Mindset module.
Research
I completed my Educational Doctorate at UCL's Institute of Education in 2021. My thesis was about Enterprise Education and focused on staff perspectives on enterprise culture.
My research interests include the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Work-Integrated-Learning, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education and Entrepreneurial Leadership.
