About me
Jake Barber studied English at the University of Iowa (BA), applied linguistics at the University of Hawaii (MA) and business administration at Richmond American University in London (MBA).
He is Course Co-Leader for the International Business BA (Hons) and Module Leader for Work Placement at Westminster Business School. His research interests include the Year in Industry and embedding employability within the curriculum.
He has managed commercial programmes with the University of California and the University of Hawaii systems and previously worked as a Senior English Language Fellow for the US Department of State. He is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA), a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE), holds Project Management Qualification (PMQ) accreditation with the Association for Project Management, and is a trained facilitator of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method.
Teaching
Jake Barber is Module Leader for Work Placement (Year in Industry) focusing on students in concurrent full time industrial positions. He teaches leadership and professional development, strategic management and project management.
