About me
Dr Alexis Anthony is an innovation-focused creative practitioner, researcher and educator currently serving as a Lecturer in Digital Media Production and Co-Course Leader for the Digital Media BA programmes. Before completing her Ph.D. at Westminster, she worked across the creative industries as a content creator, strategist, writer and designer across in-house, agency and freelance environments in the U.S., U.K. and Australia. Her research focuses on new media’s impact on human connection and behaviour. Dr Anthony’s passion for visual, literary and performance art is infused in all areas of her teaching, and she loves to champion forward-thinking student work.

Research
Dr Anthony's research focuses on trust and relationships facilitated through digital media. Her PhD thesis is entitled, "Proximal Influence vs Institutional Power: An Empirical Study of Podcasts, Trust, and Public Opinion." Her current area of focus is trust and AI companions.
