About me

Andrew has extensive experience in the collaborative development of Individuals, strategic programmes / organisations as well as sector-wide best practice. This stems from extensive experience in Higher Education, Board Management, Global Operations and logistics, Consultancy and Multilateral Trade Development. Within Academia, Andrew has worked extensively on the development of pedagogy, award winning global / industry partnerships, research, multidisciplinary employability and innovative learning solutions. Andrew is completing his DBA in Public management and governance. His wider research interests are in the same area of Public management and governance with specific focus on Institutionalization of State policy implementation, Higher Education Policy and institutional Change and Participation, Transparency, Accountability and inclusion. He previously served as a Board member of the West Midlands Board of the Chartered Management Institute and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE), Chartered Manager (CMGR) and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts (FRSA). This has bolstered his passionate experience in bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application, leveraging this expertise to enrich pedagogical methods, foster employability and internationalization initiatives, uphold accreditation standards, and cultivate strategic stakeholder relationships. Examples of key successes here have included commendation via past experience of co-creating and externally validating the impact and success of a university wide employability and internationalisation programme that won the Guardian award for Employability initiative 2015.

Teaching

Transformative and innovative management pedagogy, including the development, management and enhancement of undergraduate, postgraduate and executive programmes.  Recent examples are under two themes; 

  • Sustainable Business – Sustainable Global Growth, Ethical Leadership and Organisational Change, Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Business, Social and Green Innovation
  • Management and Organisational Development-  Developing my professional identity, Practice and leadership in Marketing, Employability and Leadership, Current themes in Business and Management, course leader of the online Management and Leadership Development (MLD) short course

Research

Andrew's research interests are in the field of Public management and governance. Specifically, this includes;

A) Institutional responses - Institutionalization of State policy implementation, Higher Education Policy and institutional Change  

B) Inclusive and sustainable governance - Managerial decision-making in the agenda 2030 and neoliberal era, Participation, Transparency, Accountability and inclusion
