Kaylee’s new show will air every Monday to Friday from 13.00-16.00 GMT, with the first show to be broadcast from Birmingham, her hometown.

She currently hosts a bi-weekly show on Reprezent radio, as well as her own podcast, On Your Gaydar, and as a DJ, she has contributed guest mixes to Capital XTRA, BBC 1Xtra and more.

She has won multiple awards for her presenting, including Best Interview at the 2019 Student Radio Awards, and she has previously been nominated for the Best Presenter award at the 2021 UK Entertainment Awards.

In 2021, following a nationwide talent search, she was chosen out of 1,500 hopefuls to be a part of the inaugural E4 Academy, a grassroots scheme where the individuals chosen receive real world, hands-on training in order to succeed in the media and content industries.

Speaking about her new role at BBC 1Xtra, Kaylee said: “I am super excited to be joining the BBC 1Xtra family! I’ve been listening to 1Xtra my whole life so to be presenting such an important daytime show on the station will be an absolute honour. And even better - I get to bring it back to my hometown, Birmingham!”
