Collaborations between the University of Turin and Westminster Business School are long established, and the latest MoU signing marks the institutions’ intention to widen and deepen the areas of their joint work. The MoU serves as an agreement to improve the mobility of colleagues and students and enable students to complete their studies at Westminster and other areas of mutual interest.

Dr Karen Jackson, Assistant Head of the School of Organisations, Economy and Society, alongside Dr Panos Hahamis, Senior Lecturer from the School of Applied Management, met with colleagues from the University of Turin in Italy on 24 March. Both organisations signed the MoU and participated in a roundtable event where they discussed next steps in their partnership.

The MoU was signed by Dr Karen Jackson and Professor Stefano Guena, Rector of the University of Turin. Professor Luisa Tibiletti from the University of Turin has been pivotal in bringing about the partnership and will act as Scientific Coordinator of the MoU.

The Universita Delgi Studi di Torino (UniTo), otherwise known as the University of Turin, is one of the most ancient and prestigious Italian universities. Hosting over 79,000 students in 120 buildings, the University of Turin is one of the largest universities in Italy. As one of the oldest universities in Europe, it continues to play an important role in both research and training.

Talking about the new partnership, Dr Karen Jackson said: “This MoU is an important milestone based on the fruitful collaboration between the Department of Management at the University of Turin and Westminster Business School. I am confident that Westminster Business School staff and students will be impressed by the lovely city of Turin and the warm welcome of the University staff.”

Professor Francesca Culasso, Head of the Department of Management at the University of Turin, added: “The MoU undersigned by the Rector of University of Turin with the University of Westminster paves the way to build up a new strong and effective collaboration between Westminster Business School, and the Department of Management of the two universities.”
