In a post written for the Training Journal blog, Vlatka Hlupic draws on recent research findings to argue why leadership development should be one of the top priorities to tackle for a thriving, resilient and sustainable organisation.

The past years have seen corporate scandals associated with some of the largest companies in the UK. Scandals which, Vlatka says, "are primarily caused by inadequate leadership, and with organisational culture being a reflection of leaders’ consciousness, leader development becomes one of the most important topics to address".

The blog includes findings from a recently completed study with 15 senior leaders through the Individual Shift Programme – a concept coined in Vlatka’s award-winning book The Management Shift: How to Harness the Power of People and Transform Your Organization for Sustainable Success. The book has won the Axiom Business Books Award 2015 and the CMI Management Articles of the Year Award 2015.
